POETRY ON THE PODIUM!

Huge congratulations to Flo Wilson in Year 6 Willow who was one of five talented finalists through to the final of the Wolverhampton Literature Festival 2025 ‘Primary Poet Champion’ competition!

Pupils across Wolverhampton schools were invited to write a poem about why life is 'better with friends' and we were inundated with lots of fantastic poems which were then forwarded to the judges from the Wolverhampton libraries team.

Flo, and the other four finalists, were invited to perform their poems at Central Library on Saturday in front of their families and friends (and special surprise visitors!) before receiving certificates and prizes for their amazing efforts. Although Flo's poem wasn't chosen for the winning piece, we are sure you will agree that being in the top five is an incredible achievement!
